***Retake funding applications will be available November 15, 2009. All retake applications must be completed no later than February 17. The State will fund one retake per candidate. The retake fee is $350 per entry or assessment exercise. North Carolina receives an annual federal subsidy grant from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards to fund retake candidates.
